Back to the blog. It's been a while since I have posted anything, you know how the holidays get. I am finally resting after a week of insanity. Outside of celebrating Christmas on mine and my husbands side of the family, throw in my son's Christmas eve birthday, and you get a sleepless few days.
It all started with Corbin's first party a few weekends ago, dinner with the in laws at their families restaurant. It was just dinner but since everyone was there we sang Corbin happy birthday and he opened a few gifts. Something to cause a little bit of separation between Christmas and his birthday.
These are all the grand kids on that side. So cute.
On Christmas eve we took Corbin out for a birthday breakfast. Tim Horton's Timbits. I never let that kid have donuts. I was secretly happy when he only finished half and opted for an egg and cheese sandwich instead. I trained him well.
Then there was cake and presents at my moms with my family. Me and the husband were up till 1:30 making this cake and making food for his party. A lot of frustration went into this cake and although it turned out pretty tasty, Corbin didn't like it and didn't eat it. Of course.
Waiting "patiently" to open presents.
Christmas eve Church service! Corbin normally stands next to me and you can see him. Things are looking a little different these days. Yes, I am only 8 months in this picture. I look like Im about to pop.

Then the party moved to Abraham's uncles house. A long night of family, cookies and celebrating. The kids sang several Christmas songs in english and spanish.
Another late night, and we were up at 8 and headed to my mom's on Christmas morning.
Food time.
And after it was all said and done, I sat on the couch for several hours, took a few cat naps, and did not much but play games and rest.
Oh, and I ran a little bit too. I managed about 15 miles last week, but I have yet to run since Sunday. UUUGH.
Monday and Tuesday were just way to busy for me and then overnight on Tuesday we had a HUGE snow storm that carried through Wednesday. It has been COLD and windy here, but the snow finally subsided late last night. We were in a level 2 snow emergency, which makes running outdoors 8 months pregnant pretty hard.
I think my husband would kill me if he knew I ran in the snow. I'm hoping to get out there tomorrow since everything has had a chance to be plowed.
Heres to finishing off the year with a few more snowy runs
