Runner's World Run Streak

2nd Annual-

I started this streak last year as well, when I was pregnant. I didn't follow through with it, since I stopped running the day before Christmas eve, 8 months pregnant, because of the large amount of ice on the ground. Last years streak started off with the Turkey Trot, as it does for almost everyone I am sure, because it seems that everyone runs a turkey trot. Even non runners, like my husband, who runs the turkey trot every year and trains for it by running once or twice before hand. :/ Silly guy. Despite my constant urges, he still hates running.

So this year again we are going to trot it up for a 5 miler in the morning, and that will commence my 2nd Annual RW Run Streak. However, I will be throwing a race on New years day, so I may have to miss that one. Maybe I can get a mile in that night, we will see how the day goes.

Here are my goals, outlandish as they may be, for the run streak.

41 miles a week. What what! I think its fine. I think the most I have topped out at was 45-46 during the peak of marathon training. It has been almost one month since the marathon and I have been running about 4 days a week and did a 10 on Sunday and felt great (outside of this weird heel thing that sprang up out of no where.) Stupid heels.

Schedule -
Monday - 1 mile (starting big, I know)
Tuesday - 5 miles
Wednesday - 5 miles
Thursday - 5 miles
Friday - 5 miles
Saturday - 10 miles
Sunday - 10 miles

= 41 miles a week!

That sounds like a lot, and it will mostly take the commitment of getting my butt out of bed to get it done early most days. Still working on that one.

What are your Holiday goals?
